One Punch Fighters Qualify for Asian Youth Games 2025

Mixed Martial Arts is stepping into a new era with its inclusion as a medal sport at the 3rd Asian
Youth Games in Bahrain 2025. For India this is a historic milestone. For One Punch MMA, it is
a proud moment as three of our young athletes Shriya Satam, Yash Muthal and Ishan Vyas
have secured their place in this prestigious event.
Their journey began at the 1st AMMA Youth Championship in Bahrain, the inaugural youth
AMMA platform that brought together the best upcoming fighters from across Asia.
Representing Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India (MMA-SFI), this was not only
their introduction to international competition but also India’s first step into a continental youth
championship officially recognised by the Olympic Council of Asia.
Starting young in MMA is never easy. The sport demands intense physical preparation and
equally strong mental resilience, all while balancing academics and personal life. Our athletes
embraced that challenge showing that greatness can be achieved early when dedication and
consistency are part of everyday life.
Now back in India, the three are once again immersed in intense training as they prepare for
the next stage. Under the guidance and support of MMA-SFI, who are conducting the official
training program for the Asian Youth Games, they are sharpening their skills and building the
strength needed for the continental stage.
At One Punch MMA, their qualification goes beyond results. It shows that the culture we are
building which is of structure, discipline and relentless work ethic is capable of producing
athletes ready for the international stage. Shriya, Yash and Ishan embody what we stand for:
young fighters who are willing to put in the work long before the spotlight shines on them.
We are grateful to MMA-SFI for providing the platform, guidance and training pathway that
makes it possible for our athletes to compete at this level. As Shriya, Yash and Ishan now
prepare for the Asian Youth Games 2025, they carry not only their own ambitions but also the
responsibility of representing India in a historic moment for the sport.
